Top Frozen Treats That Aren’t Calorie Killers

Frozen Desserts

I’m a big fan of frozen treats. My favorite thing to eat in the whole world is frozen yogurt. I often think that if I win the lottery I’ll likely install a frozen yogurt machine my house.

And then I quickly remind myself that would be horrible idea because I have no self-control.

But considering that I haven’t won the lottery so I’m not yet faced with that conflict, I do try and limit my frozen yogurt indulgences to about once every other week.

However, every night I do set aside about 150 calories for a dessert on a much smaller scale.

Although I haven’t been able to figure out a way to do frozen yogurt for this amount of calories, I have found some other wonderful frozen treats that satisfy my sweet tooth and don’t break my calorie budget.

Here are some of my favorites.

SkinnyCow Ice Cream Sandwiches

It’s pretty amazing that there is something this good, in a decent size, for about 150 calories each. These full size ice cream sandwiches don’t taste light at all.

Like any other ice cream sandwich, they are two cookies with a good amount of ice cream in between.

My favorite flavor seems to rotate ever few months, but I’m currently loving cookies and cream.

I’ve also been a regular enjoyer of the mint sandwich. Their other flavors include Vanilla, Vanilla Chocolate Combo, Snickerdoodle, and Sugar-Free Vanilla.

The Snickerdoodle has been hard to find for about the past year, but if you see it, definitely give it a try. It’s outstanding!

Frozen Desserts

Yasso

If you are more of a frozen treat on the stick kind of person, I think you will really like Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars. They are super smooth and taste a lot like frozen yogurt. And even though they don’t come in the soft serve format that I love, their texture is spot on.

Plus, you will never get bored with the flavor options. At last count, they have 13 flavors. From fruity to chocolaty, they have something for every taste buds.

My favorite is the chocolate chip cookie dough and I also love the cookies and cream (seems to be a theme with me).

I did see on their website that they have a Peanut Butter Cup. This is a must try for me, I just haven’t been able to find it in the stores yet. When I do, I’m definitely picking up a box.

Halo Top

If you are looking for traditional ice cream without the calories, this is your dessert dream.

Halo Top are small pints of ice cream, and each pint is under 280 calories- many are even just 240. That’s right, a whole PINT of ice cream for about the same amount of calories as a ½-cup of regular ice cream.

Mind Blown.

This tasty treat is a little more pricey than the other two options, but it’s definitely an indulgence I highly recommend. My personal favorite is the Birthday Cake. It makes me so happy.

So there it is. A run down of my favorite frozen desserts that will leave you feeling satisfied, sans the guilt.

Give them all a try and figure out your favorite. Or maybe you’re like me and have the freezer stocked with all three. You never know what kind of frozen craving is going to show up from day-to-day!
