Rescate Coffee in Elk Grove has amazing drinks, friendly staff, and a vibe that makes you want to hang out there all day long.
I tried it out for the first time earlier this week when I drove down to this beautiful coffee shop off of Elk Grove Blvd.
Side Note: It only took me 20 minutes to get there at 5:30 p.m. on a weekday from downtown Sacramento! So easy!
Walk into Rescate and you are instantly greeted by their warm and friendly team.
And they are happy to make any sort of customized coffee concoction you desire. My kind of place!!
I went with a Vanilla and Honey Matcha Latte, made with almond milk. It was seriously the best matcha I’ve ever had. Perfectly sweet, but not too sweet. Just the way I like it.
Of course, I inquired about their healthier options, and they filled me in on their extensive tea selection. They carry Art of Tea, which is a great company based out of L.A. and known for their organic tea line.
Have a cup of tea and find that you love it?
They can make a tin of loose leaf tea to take home. From Hibiscus to Pacific Coast Mint- and everything in between- any teetotaler will be in heaven.
In the mood for food? They have you covered!
For those trying to cut down on gluten and dairy, they have a nice selection of baked goods from Pushkin’s Bakery. I tried the Mud Pie Cookie for the first time, and I was seriously in love.
If you need breakfast on the go, they also have a huge selection of Earnest Eats hot cereal. If you haven’t heard of Earnest before, you have to check them out.
They are oatmeal on steroids- the good kind.
They are made of superfood grains like whole oats, quinoa & amaranth plus fruit and nuts. So yummy.
Feeling in the mood for a treat? Then you definitely came to the right place!
That’s because this coffee shop is the brainchild of partners Ladd (the coffee master) and Anthony (as in Anthony’s Cupcakes).
So you know the coffee AND the desserts are insanely good!
Regular cupcakes available at Rescate include standard crowd pleasers like Chocolate and Vanilla, but also special standouts like Pineapple Delight and Bacon Maple Pancake.
So you’re happy because you’re well-caffeinated and enjoying a yummy treat in a beautiful coffee shop… what more could you want?
How about knowing you are doing something good for the community too?
Rescate Coffee gives a portion of their sales on select retail items to the local community, including cash donations to pet rescue organizations such as Front Street Animal Shelter.
You can even make a donation to the cause and get your pet’s name engraved on a beautiful wall in the shop. Such a great idea!
And their commitment to the cause is so strong, it’s in their name.
For those of us that aren’t sharp on our foreign languages (hello.. me!), Rescate means rescue in Spanish. Ladd and Anthony named the coffee shop in honor of their beloved dogs, all of which are rescues.
As a mom to four rescues myself (two dogs and two cats), I fell even more in love with this place.
So of course, I’ll definitely be back to Rescate Coffee. And I highly recommend you make your way to this beautiful coffee shop doing good for the community very soon!
